India's First Private Medical Museum: Established in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, by A. Sivan, a former artist at the Government Medical College. The museum preserves handmade models of the human body, anatomical organs, and materials for medical students.
Sansad Ratna Awards 2026: A total of 12 MPs and 4 Parliamentary Committees were conferred with the Sansad Ratna Awards. The 4 recognized committees are Agriculture, Finance, Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, and Coal & Mines. The awards were established in 2010 based on the suggestion of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.
NCB Director General’s Term Extended: The Central Government extended the tenure of Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) Director General Anurag Garg for one year, keeping him in office until July 2027. He is a 1993-batch IPS officer of the Himachal Pradesh cadre.

Puga Valley Geothermal Extension: The Ladakh administration extended its 5-year MoU with ONGC to accelerate the development of India's first 1 MW pilot geothermal power plant at Puga Valley, situated at an altitude of 14,000 feet.
