The framework mandates deep global transparency over vessel tracking, beneficial ownership, and licensing logs to protect marine ecosystems from illegal exploitation.  

PM Modi Concludes High-Profile State Visit to France: Prime Minister Narendra Modi finalized a milestone 6-day official visit to France. Along with French President Emmanuel Macron, he inaugurated the debut edition of 'Bharat Innovates 2026' in Nice. Key structural bilateral outcomes include the India-France Innovation Roadmap 2030 and a Joint Working Group (JWG) on AI Governance.  

Launch of Green Hydrogen Certification Portal of India (GHCI): Union Minister Pralhad Joshi rolled out the official GHCI Portal in New Delhi under the National Green Hydrogen Mission. Designed to offer independent, transparent certification, and regulatory compliance logs for eco-friendly fuel manufacturing, the system is slated to go completely live on July 1, 2026.  

National Statistical Commission Appoints New Chairperson: The Central Government officially designated senior management specialist and veteran academic Dr. Saibal Chattopadhyay as the new Chairperson of the National Statistical Commission (NSC) to spearhead core baseline methodology reforms over public data tracking networks.  

Kishau Multipurpose Dam Project Clearances Finalized: The Central Government successfully brokered a structural layout consensus among 6 states—Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Rajasthan—to implement the long-pending Kishau Dam Project on the Tons River. The Center will fund 90% of the water component cost.  

'Namo Cities' Greenfield Framework Approved: The National Capital Region Planning Board (NCRPB), chaired by Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, approved a blueprint to construct 4 brand-new greenfield urban hubs across Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan.
