- India's First Port with Digital Twin Initiative: The V.O. Chidambaranar Port (formerly Tuticorin Port) in Tamil Nadu has become the first in the country to launch a "Digital Twin" initiative. This technology creates a real-time digital model of the port, allowing for better monitoring and management of ship movements and operations.
- Kharg Island in the Persian Gulf: This strategically important island under Iranian control is currently in the news due to regional conflict. It serves as Iran's primary oil export hub and has recently been a target of military operations (Operation Epic Fury).
- India Wins World Para Athletics Grand Prix 2026: India topped the medal tally at the championship held in New Delhi, winning a total of 208 medals (74 Gold, 69 Silver, and 64 Bronze). Russia finished second in the standings.
