Union Minister Amit Shah Launches Four Digital Policing Apps: To strengthen the Integrated Criminal Justice System (ICJS), the Ministry of Home Affairs launched four advanced AI-driven applications: Abhigyan, Criminal Procedure Identification (CrPI), e-Prosecution 2.0, and e-Forensics 2.0. The software suite focuses on automated biometric identification and seamless digital forensic integration to expedite investigations.  

VOC Port Earns Scope-2 Emission Free Recognition: The V.O. Chidambaranar Port Authority (VOCPA) in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu, has officially emerged as a blueprint for sustainable maritime development, recording a 45% net reduction in carbon emissions. The Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways officially certified VOCPA as a Scope-2 Emission Free Port for its clean energy transition.  

India Emerges as World's Top Ship Recycling Nation: According to an official declaration from the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, India captured the leading global share in ship recycling, climbing to 35.4% of the global market (up from 30.1%). Driven by heavy activity at the Alang-Sosiya yard in Gujarat, total recycled volume spiked 60% to reach 2.99 million gross tons.
