India's Total Ramsar Sites Reach 100: In a historic environmental milestone, India officially crossed the century mark with 100 designated Ramsar sites. The 100th Ramsar Site is Surha Tal (also known as the Jay Prakash Narayan Bird Sanctuary) located in the Ballia district of Uttar Pradesh. With this addition, Tamil Nadu holds the highest number of Ramsar sites (20), while Uttar Pradesh stands second.  

Admiral Krishna Swaminathan Appointed as Chief of Naval Staff: Vice Admiral Krishna Swaminathan has been officially designated as India's 27th Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS). He succeeds the outgoing Chief to helm the strategic, maritime, and anti-piracy operations of the Indian Navy across the Indo-Pacific corridor.  

Andhra Pradesh Launches ₹13,000 Crore Mushroom Mission: To drive sustainable income alternatives for local agrarian communities, Chief Minister N. Dinesh Trivedi Appointed India's High Commissioner to Bangladesh: In a major diplomatic deployment for neighborhood diplomacy, senior political and administrative veteran Dinesh Trivedi was officially appointed as the new High Commissioner of India to Bangladesh, focusing on cross-border logistics and trade partnerships.  

PM Modi Inaugurates Hardoi Section of Ganga Expressway: Pushing regional logistics connectivity, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the newly completed Hardoi phase of the 594 km long Ganga Expressway. Connecting Meerut to Prayagraj across 12 crucial districts of Uttar Pradesh, the expressway features a strategic emergency airstrip in Shahjahanpur for Indian Air Force fighter jet landings.
