India Proposes 'BRICS Space Economy' Initiative: Serving as the BRICS Chair for 2026, India hosted the official BRICS Heads of Space Agencies Meeting in Bengaluru. During the summit, Indian space delegates formally proposed the creation of a 'BRICS Space Economy' framework to accelerate joint satellite innovations, deep-space data sharing, and commercial aerospace startup ecosystems among member countries.  

DRDO Hands Over FOC for 'Netra' AEW&C System: The Defence Research and Development Organisation marked a major military milestone by officially delivering the Final Operational Clearance (FOC) certificate for the indigenous 'Netra' Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) system to the Indian Air Force. The advanced radar platform is integrated onto a modified Embraer EMB-145 jet framework.
